After a weekend of non-stop rain here in Tallahassee, we needed a little sunshine to get us through Monday. Given that it was still pretty cloudy outside, we decided to make our own sunshine in the form of this delicious Tito's Blueberry Lemonade cocktail. It's going to stick around on the summer mobile bar menu for our catering company, but in case you can't wait for our next event, here's the recipe so you can make it at home:
4 ounces fresh squeezed lemonade (if you cheat and buy Publix lemonade, we won't tell)
Add blueberries to the bottom of a rocks glass and gently muddle. Fill glass with ice, then add in vodka. Transfer contents to a cocktail shaker tin and give it a good hard shake for at least 15-30 seconds. Return contents to rocks glass, add more ice, and top with lemonade. Garnish with a lemon wheel and a skewer of fresh blueberries. A little spritz of soda water or lemon-lime soda would be a refreshing addition, if you're feeling up for a little fizz.
I'm busy working on my blog posts. Watch this space!
